The beginning I assume?

"

The sense of drunkeness was visible on my tongue, poisonous to the touch. My head was still muggy from the night before and the fight to get my a*s up and out of bed was horrendous, proving much more difficult than the other times I remembered. The sickness in my stomach was churning, ready for round two, and the room was dark and scattered. As I struggled to swing my feet over the edge, the cold of hardwood floor stung my toes and I cringed. My brain was scattered and the feeling of being lost attacked me from all angles. Where was I? Where had I awakened?

Another flop in my stomach and I didn't care where I was located at the moment, the only thing I could do was run and I slammed myself against the walls, gripping at my stomach with one arm and my mouth with the other. Elbowing the wall (which I found out to be a door), I stumbled into the dark bathroom and flicked the switch before twirling on my heel and upchucking into the bathtub. Regaining my posture after some heavy breathing, I took the time to survey the conditions of the restroom my suddenly weak feeling body resided in.

The brightness of the light reflected off of all the shiny surfaces, which was everything really. The bathroom definitely wasn't that of a poor-persons, and it surely wasn't my own. The panic that was slowly creeping in on me since I had awoken now hit me with full force and I was over-come with the dizzy feeling that swims in your head and makes you sicker. I bent over the bathtub for a second before I couldn't stand the stench of last nights alcohol intake and I pulled back and laid down on the tiled floor instead, nervous sweating starting. I shut my eyes to the harsh lights, turning my head on the side and frowning heavily. Damnit... It was hard to keep in a sigh, so I just let it out, the heaviness of it making the frustration on my body seem to dissipate.

"Why do I always do this to myself?"

My voice was muttered, but not too quiet, and my head jerked up when the tall shadow hovered over me.

          "Do what to yourself?"

A males voice, dark and a bit groggy from sleep. I forced my eyes to stare up at him. He was dressed in boxers and a pair of baggy pants and his abs were outlined by the flourescent lights, shadowed by the darkness behind him. I took notice of my black lace panties and loose button-up that I assumed was his. There was a red wine stain on the upper left breast. A patch of dark hair crawled up towards his belly button from the red plaid of his pants (he had an in-ey). The mans arms were tanned and very well defined, one pressed against the frame of the doorway and the other scratching at the shaggy head of black hair he sported. I shyly turned my head the other way and cleared my throat.

"Uhm. Nothing. Er. Do you know where my phone is? And I'm really sorry, I got a bit sick in your... uhm... tub." I raised a leg lazily and pressed my toes against the coolness of the raised tub, glancing at the chipping black nail polish decorating the nails. I refused to look at him or even in his general direction. He was pretty attractive... My face was flushed with sudden heat as I tried to remember what we had done. I couldn't tell if the things I imagined were just me making them up or they had actually happened, so I gave up on the ideas.

The feeling of him vanished and I looked up to the empty doorway. The bedroom past the doorway was only slightly lit by the bathroom and I strained my eyes, trying to focus on any form of movement in the room. After several minutes of nothing, no footsteps or rustling, the annoying high pitched screeching of my ringer went off and my body jumped to action, heart pounding in my chest. I bolted across the tiles and I nearly slipped as I exited, thrown into the darkness of the bedroom. The bright light on the phone was glowing from under the bed and I swipped it up, pulling it open and pressing the reciever tightly into my ears. I held my breath against the silence, feeling like I couldn't dare to breathe, before I finally spoke. My voice was meek and I didn't recognize it as my own.

          "H-Hello...?"

The phone exploded with static so loud it left my ears ringing and I quickly dropped it on the floor, a soft scream escaping my lips. The phone stared at me from the carpet and continued to hiss in it's awkward voice and I shivered, bending down to grab it and shut it. The silence of the room was heavy now, so heavy my whole body sagged and I felt like crawling under the covers and humming softly. My fingers searched the floor for a scrape of clothing and I found a pair of baggy jeans, not mine, but put them on anyway and quickly tried to find my way out of the place I was in. With no keys and no car, I pulled the button up tighter around me to protect myself against the cold and shivered, listening to the sound of my bare feet softly pounding into the icey pavement.

It was 3:47 in the morning, the first day I met him.

A very strong opening chapter. To awake in a strange place. Always get the keys. I like the storyline. Made the situation come alive with the strong description. You left a open door for the next chapter. Thank you for a excellent opening chapter. I look forward to reading more.
