Let me Carry On!

Let me Carry On!

A Poem by

Lo!

I have something to show you,

Before the Sun takes away my sight,

For the Moon cannot then help,

Let me carry on!

Hush!

I have something to tell you,

Before the wind fades my whisper,

For I have not strength to shout,

Let me carry on!

But

I had something to do else,

Now which has neither meaning nor need,

But an invisible-

He urges me, I cannot deny-

For I dare not deny;

Before the wave of time proves it to be late,

Let me carry on!

I was wondering when I would read another poem from you. This poem was a very interesting and intriguing poem. It was able to captivate me from beginning to end. I really liked the obliqueness of the poem but it also seemed very straightforward. Strange yet familiar. This poem seemed to employ several contradictions. I really enjoyed reading this. Great Job!

The wave of time can steal from us. We need to listen to the light whispers and hold on to the good things in a life. I like the ending to the excellent poem.
