GlassA Story by
When you fall in love, you sparkle. You feel so light and free, like you could effortlessly just start floating. You become pretty to everyone around you; you radiate beauty, but you yourself are oblivious to it. All because you are in love, and someone might love you.
So when that love dies abruptly, the opposite must be true. The person you love can't return your feelings, or gets a new significant other, or they decide you're not good enough for them anymore, you watch yourself get ugly. You look at yourself in the mirror and suddenly, you're not even good enough for yourself. Your hair looks stupid, your face is covered in pimples, you're too tall or short, too fat or thin. You hate everything about yourself, from your eyes to your clothes to your feet. Even your smile is awful. And you're the only one who can see it. The human heart is such a fragile thing, like a thin sheet of glass. When it's in tact and polished, everyone else seems to notice. But when it's broken, suddenly the owner of the glass seems to see it the most. © 2011Reviews
