Waiting On YouA Poem byI'm not looking for a forever, I don't even need a lover As long as you're my best friend, I'll never need another We'll call it temporary, and say it's just for now But we both know this will have to end eventually We just don't know how Enjoy the moment you live in, it won't be 'round much longer I know I'm scared to let this go but it will make me stronger I push it aside and say it's alright, when we all know it's not A part of me that you can't see is changing my train of thought Only reason it's not over yet Is because of that day you messed with my head Normally it'd be easy to forget Now it's my last thought before I go to bed Because of you, I live in regret And by this point, I'd rather be dead Only reason it's not over yet Is cause I'm afraid I'm killing two instead If I am the only one that's under my skin A new wave of doubt will sprout from within There's so many things from you I have hidden All of it nothing more than forbidden So if today you left me I don't know where I would be Would you remain a friend Or become another enemy I had to hurt someone for you Though everyone says he deserves it If I wanted to make old feelings new In the end would it be worth it No one could ever agree with me How could they know what I want They say they know what's best, you see They'd feel nothing more for me than pity These thoughts of mine, at night they haunt My friends would think me differently But do they know me really?
