Demonic Dealings

Demonic Dealings

A Poem by

Hiding deep in the shadows,

Ready to spring,

The demon within me lies.

Always speaking,

Whispering its malevolent expressions.

The words of my demise.

There,

Shrouding my mind in darkness,

It controls me from within.

I am powerless before it,

For its demands must be met.

Dreadful, dark, dealings, sent from below

Tormenting my soul.

I am but a helpless minion,

Forever trapped,

Within its sinister embrace.
It walks my conscious,

Always at the fringe of thought.

It stalks,

Prowling like a cat,

Padding through my mind.

It skirts around my every thought,

Hissing commands.

Barking instructions.

Screeching warnings.

Bellowing orders.

I am eternally at its mercy,

Condemned to forever walk the path it has laid before me.

It is death intertwined with life.

At the edge of sanity,

I pray for release.

It laughs,

So softly,

A mere hunting echo.

With evil lacing its intentions,

It constricts my soul.

For my rebellion, the punishment is set.

The torture has only just begun.

I feel its pleasure,

Coursing through my veins.

My agony…its enjoyment.

Falling to my knees,

I beg,

I plead.

Beseeching forgiveness,

Imploring pardon,

Requesting release.

I feel death drawing near.

It mocks me from the shadows,

From the darkest recesses of my mind.

The anguish continues.

I collapse to the ground.

Throbbing,

Full of hurt.

It cackles as the pain lifts.

Cruel with kind twisted into one.

It is again my master,

Once more I am its servant.

It is an animal,

Pouncing on my sprit,

And with massive jaws it rips at my essence.

There is no escape from this everlasting torment.

I am its eternal prisoner,

And it is my captor evermore.

And again the cycle begins,

For all eternity,

I am its and it is mine.

I think we all can relate to this in one way or another. For all of the world that is unbalenced, rest assured that our inner demons are the one thing that seem balanced...Always whispering things, things that make us beg and plead...even when we're already on our knees...Bravo

It's well balance and reminds us of our internal demons that we try each day to compress and stop for our well being and sanity; but sometimes, when we have weak minds, we summit to it and become the demons ourselves and at the end we are begging for mercy and penitence. Nevertheless, we most keep in mind that even though we are in the pits of darkness sometimes, we must not lose hope because that is our most powerful weapon against perdition.

Wow, dark, torment and flowed not too fast or too slow as i read it! I think some people have some demonic dealings, even i have in the past. It's a unique tale of what that other world can play with your mind! well done!

"Prowling like a cat,
Padding through my mind. "
The demons become part of us if we allow them to take over. I believe people allow fear and disappointment to steal their hope and dreams like demons in the night. The poem told a tale of giving in and accepting.
"There is no escape from this everlasting torment.
I am its eternal prisoner,"
A excellent poem. Thank you.
