People Living with HIV infection - A special life

I am a healthy individual .. happy , almost satisfied with my life (social , personal , work and otherwise) . Though I do know about AIDS and its effects ,frankly I do not care ... why should I , can you give me a reason ?? , I can give you a lot of reasons why I should not .. first , it is not my burden to bear,no one in my family has got it , second I am not so great to bear the burden of so many out there that have AIDS ... burden .. yes I say BURDEN .. if my knowledge is correct then AIDS carries along with it , a lot of misery for its victim which is not limited to his/her physical devastation , the person will face social isolation and humiliation which will induce severe mental depression as well , caring for that person means continually giving company , listen to them lament ... hell , I got my own life to live , and even if I do give them company .. what then , what if the medical experts are wrong what if AIDS is contagious .. you .. all you sympathisers out there .. can you gurantee my safety ?? .. I doubt you can , I doubt if you yourselves will be willing to take the risk if presented with the opportunity . It is easy to say big words on paper .... in the end it all boils down to the base selfish motive .. better be safe than sorry ... avoid them .. and tell your loved ones to avoid them too ....

If you have read this far then maybe you have started hating me ..... if you are , Well that is precisely the point I am trying to make , there are thousands .. millions , of other ignorant fools like me who does not care ... does not think what if the same happens to a loved one .... and that ignoring them is a hateful thing to do .. their's is a special life where the countdown timer counts very fast and options become very limited . You think your life is limited , you would be happy to have a thousand lucrative job offers , a thousand new holiday destinations .. in short a thousand different options to choose from ...will you be happy then ... YES YOU WILL ... well multiply that by infinity .. what you get is the happiness of an individual living with AIDS for whom options are numbered and you have done something to increase that number even by one.
