Searching for childhood

Searching for childhood

A Poem by

Much have changed since the time I've been
Ways have changed , ways I've heard and seen.

But mind retains the note of early day ,
when the song of life was sung a different way .

With nothing to leave and and nothing to take away,
I tread upon this path , now the sun has set ,

darkness lights the path up ahead.
Silent as the silence of the dead .

Again I seek the beginning of the song .
As times before , I only find the end .

beautiful You shine when you speak of a innocence of heart.i think what i like best in you is the difference in you and most Indian poets.India prizes conformity and education it is unusual to find a true heart and soul that speaks to the masses in plain english

Seeking the begining only to find that the phase was at its end, this poem is growing on me and it is so universal in the feelings that it stirs up.

Excellent poem about childhood memories.. the searching for something of the past.. I could sense the need and longing in this well crafted poem. Great job!

I love how the ending seems to be more than a summary.. it leads you back to the beginning to read this piece over and over. Well thought.

In retrospect, the days of our youth always seem to be unique and offer an alure no longer found.
