A Crime of Passion

A lover betrayed by his love , in an impulsive decision , decides to end her life . But this is not a story about how he killed her , rather this is a story of how he decided to kill her.

Deception thrust a knife
into the heart of trust.
It bled to death
and took faith with it.

Grief then in an evil ploy
overthrew happiness and joy,
anger and vengeance
came in for a meet.

Then they committed high treason
kidnapped logic and reason,
suppressed the weak protests
of fear, sense and wit.

Together they sat then, to confer,
and all agreed on 'Death to her'
and vengeance passed the order
'So be it' !!

. i almost ended my life ... but my best friend saved me ... he left me in july 2009 ... fast forward to jan 2011 ... i just published two of his poems in an anthology of poems ... would be distributed by next week ... i wonder sometimes if deceived himself or if he deceived me ... i wonder ... but anyway ... exquisite poetry, maestro ...

Interesting and a little burlesque how many characters were involved in the poem. Nicely penned and flows well from beginning to end. Great poem.
