Beautiful

Beautiful

A Poem by
"

That is the only word I can come up with for this incident.

"

Whenever I come home late

I happen to pass them by,

an old man and a little child

watching the night sky.

Him and the little one

together counting stars

or making up a story about

the aliens from Mars.

One day when I passed them by

he called me from behind,

"Sir, would you please find my walking stick,

I'm sorry , I'm blind".

the blind see so many things missed or betrayed by the seeing. This is beautiful.

Oooh, I like this!
Some of my most favourite poems are the ones that highlight the magic in the mundane.
Your poem "Beautiful" is just that: with a generous twist of sublime.

Thanks for sharing, Abhijit

Wonderuful! Those last lines were stunning...."Sir, would you please find my walking stick, I'm sorry , I'm blind".

very insightful no pun intended for one does not need to see to bring forth wisdom in this case because the truth can come from within.
Excellent write.
