Enough

Enough

A Poem by

She's an inch away from death

No second thoughts

No hesitation

The note she wrote sat on the desk

Her dads favorite song was playing

She wants to leave

Float up into the sky,

To sit on a star.

Not as far as mars

But high enough

So no one can bug her

And her dad can finally hug her.

You give the illusion in the beginning that her dad is still alive, then reveal in the end that he's actually in heaven (or the sky, or whatever you'd like to call it), which also explains why she wants to die. Interesting piece, the words unfolded very well.

For a short poem, reveals a lot of information. Strong feelings and a yearning desire to feel loved again by a dearly missed father as remembrances of him surround the writer. Great job---
