Cherry Soda Kiss

Cherry Soda Kiss

A Poem by
"

Punk song, like sorta the Clash sounding instrumentally.

"

Crimson drips throughout her skin

Bouncing off a thin skeleton

Thick blue ink festers on my page

Looking for the words of some kind of superman

I hang my coat and my soul at the door

The whole world's narrowed to a glimpse

A fleeting glimpse of the weekend w****s

Sell myself short but I'm never God and I'm never bored

You're spinning me round and round again

Time to time for time and I'm in line again

Once more, baby please, let me stick the needle in

Push down hard and feel the grape juice beneath my skin

Don't stare at a friendly face

For too long or you'll see the scars

The painful gripes, the maladies

That stole our soul but they make us who we are

It's cold outside but I believe in summer days

Who's to say with what can I get away?

Capital city marked up with flames

I'm dizzy and I'm frightened but still I'll get on again

You're turning me down, I'm surprised you understand

Even before we met I wanted to be more than friends

I'm sick, you should know by now what signals I can send

Cherry soda on her lips, what a kiss, this time I want on again
