Break Through~

Break Through~

A Poem by

The Black Darkness rolled in under the sun
Smothering the rays, that shined down, to warm the day.

She lay, with her face in the ground.
Her body exposed to natures elements.
Turning cold, as the sepulcher, that was on its way.
She knew, what awaited her, Postmortem, if she decided to stay.
She knew the undertaker, would make his way.
Molesting what was left of her, to make him pay.

She hovered over her decaying self.
Tugging at her soul, begging it not to watch to long
She had put her body through the grind
Her heart was too weak to understand this time.

She stood as to no longer linger, on the dead
For she has seen the light, that shines through her head .
She has ended the torture, which once had her bound
She no longer feels this need, to stay around
She leaves her body behind, gathers up her soul
Refreshed & cleaned , to walk away, to start anew.
Good bye~ with a smile, the tears will no longer shed  for she is dead~

I like how you used the words and this is a very descriptive poem. It makes me think of someone who has struggled with and illness that overtook her body and in the end when it was time to move on she was at peace.
