Snagged

Snagged

A Poem by

Summer’s Chill

As Dawn is peeking,

Through the darkness of night.

There she lay in a

Slumbering existence.

Through,

 Her open morning window

A cool summer breeze

Sneaks sweetly in.

As the soft chill covers

Her waking thoughts

Catching what she thought

Was a scent of him?

Only to realize

This was only

A memory of him

 Lingering.

From the warm

nightly dreams

Of chameleon eyes

 That speaks

A thousand words

To her heart

Awaked

to this barren life,

Once intertwined

with a ego

that has chilled

As the ocean waters

Leaving

The warmth that

smiled with joy

 Empty to drowned

 in a sea of tears

Because of his fears ~
