The God Factor

The God Factor

A Poem by

Sitting here in a funk, lots of things running through my mind.

Nothing good, all negative. Feeling down and blue, with nothing to do.

Tired from the stresses of the day to day work load.

Wanting to be left alone to relax and ponder the good things in life.

But, all I see is troubles and strife throughout the world. Feeling hopeless wishing there was something I could do to change this world.

I have come to realize that all I can do is pray to God above to save this lost world.

So I get down on my knees and ask God above,

Father, this world is lost and dieing, trauma is all around us, with earthquakes, wars, and rumors of wars, Lord, what shall I do to reach your people? To bring them to an understanding of God the Father? I hunger and thirst for your righteousness and ask you Lord to take my heart and life to reach your broken and lost people. Father, I ask you to save this world from further distruction. And pray that you would speak to President Obamas heart, that he make the right decisions for our country, that they be based on Your truths and insight. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen!

If you read this poem, and think you would like Jesus to come into your heart, Just pray this simple prayer, Saying God, I am a sinner, please come into my heart, and wash my sins away. Make me new in your image. Take my life and use it for your glory, in Jesus name I ask it, Amen!

As you can see this poem started out negative, but with God on our side, we can make it through anything. And there is always something to do.
