Chantilly Lace

Chantilly Lace

A Poem by

A figure, dancing
On Chantilly lace
Bounding, prancing
Without a face

Look to the left,
Look to the right,
Something is bereft
See? It's light!

See the pretty girl
Moving about the floor?
Oh, that last twirl
Leaves you wanting more

Yes, she does that to people
With her Chantilly lace
She'll take you to the highest steeple
Where you'll find her face

Author's Note

Not sure what this was supposed to be, but the phrase "chantilly lace" has such a good rhythm to it and I wanted to get this out of my head. :) Hope it's okay...kinda creepy, to me.

I was just about to say that the title is irresistibly delectable. It lures you in and your poems takes you on silken dance you'd kill for. Excellent job. Wonderful title. Breathless movements.
