Colour Of You

I had once found a colour

It was the colour of you.

Full of life and emotion.

When I thought of this colour

I felt the rush

 

Come at me

With a basket of petals

and rain.

It brought snow

and light,

chill and warmth

 

Which I embraced

with open arms

and an open heart.

This was the only colour

I painted my life with

Please don't wash it away.

 

This colour of you.
