Though we barely new each other’s true lives,
Now that I’ve lost you nothing really jives.
We knew what we wanted, we knew what to say,
Too bad the words never came out the right way.
Though you hid yourself
behind lock and key,
The true you, was all I could see,
My true self I hid so
well,
But when I was with you, the barrier fell.
I wish I had once told you the truth,
Then maybe this poem, wouldn’t exist.
