Watch As I Leave

Watch As I Leave

A Poem by

Watch as the leaves flow effortlessly

Down, apon, and circle 'round me.

The wind caresses my soft cheek,

As I sit and ponder where on Earth you might be.

---------------------------------------

I glance past the hill of the setting sun

And realize how I've forgotten everyone,

Wondering when this pain might be numbed,

As I sit and ponder if my childhood is done.

---------------------------------------

Watch as the grass sways to and fro,

The last drops of sunlight remind me I must go.

This place is not my place, So I must let it go,

Even if my mind travels it to and fro.

----------------------------------------

I leave my footprints in the grass,

And let my nostalgia gently pass,

Wondering how this is only my past,

As I wake to your caress-I found you at last.

Well, this is my poem, but for whatever reason, my account seems to have disappeared. Wish I could reinstate it so I could gather all of my writing together.
