Oh addiction. I like the tip-toed tap dance around the metaphor here. It's morose and yet playful. I think it kind of captures the median opinion of people in their twenties about excessive drinking. They kind of know it could be a problem, but they disguise it and laugh about it because of the popular culture. But then, eventually, that cold hard reality hits like a brick to the teeth. At least that was how I interpreted this. Excellent.
