Dark Thoughts

Dark Thoughts

A Poem by
"

"
Dark thoughts of mayhem breed quickly within my mind
The imagery circles like hungry buzzards over a fresh carcass
Hysteria, my old friend, paints the world in ruin
Religion swells with the corporate disease, there is nothing left sacred
And Death, well, Death resides on every doorstep

This is a fantastic piece; I really like the idea of 'corporate disease' and your last line is so poignant - very thought provoking...

Thank you :)
That last line is just great.

Twisted yet strangely familiar; a really nice piece!

Thank you for the review :)
Religion and money--when they mix, it's always deadly. And what man, in his darkest of moments, doesn't lust for conquest and war? It lurks beneath all of our precarious veneers
