Looking For Love

Out again tonight, looking for someone to love,

years of the same old thing every night.

Nothing in this city ever changes.

Lost and lonely men come to her,

seeking out her talents.

Each one she hopes will feel her ever returning need,

her greedy lustful heart beats wildly,

wanting them to stay and love her.

At the end they always leave,

their money strewn on the bed,

her body used and abused for a few bucks.

No love ever comes to her,

she is no pretty woman.

Simply a girl, looking for a chance,

amongst thousands of others.

A lost and lonely girl, turned into a bitter and empty woman.

This poem strikes sadly true for a lot of women. If they aren't doing it in the streets they are in their hearts. I totally loved this poem. It is strewn with the imagery that makes me what to know the story deeper. Very nice work.

Good. Liked it. It don't get it at the beginning. But when you get to the body. I finally downs on you. Though I think she should do something about it. Like maybe go out and look for "it" herself. Nice though
