The Memories

The Memories

A Poem by

 Tears fall down her face

in simple sparkling lines

as the memories of what was

stream through her mind tonight.

She remembers everything...

everything you chose to forget

She snatches and grabs for them

but they run through her fingers

like smoke through the air

she wants to loose them all

finally be through with the pain

but the thought is simply unbearable

For although the memories do kill her

the pain is bittersweet.

It engulfs her in a cloud

of love, hate, and everything in between

The memories do seige her

and the pain, it seems, is never far away.
