High School

High School

A Poem by

Football stands

and marching bands

Cheerleaders

and the geeky fans.

Midterms, Finals,

and Unit Exams.

Hardcore Studying

just to meet demands.

Flirting and dating

Love and hate

Teenage lovers dont wait

Teenage relationships and all their angst.

Teachers and Principles

with the occasional cop.

Patrol the hallways

and force us to stop.

Hopes and daydreams

Sleeping in class.

Passing around notes

and waiting for cash.

Teenage fights and lovers quarrels

girl fights, guy fights all together.

Quick! Jump up

and defend the family honor.

Quizzes, movies

Switching classes.

Computers, Textbook

Busy work does aquire.

So goes everyday

For one in High School

Taking classes, assembling the masses

Screwing for peace and dying for love.

HaHa, I loved this, it is totally high school, at least where I live. And it is every day.

I love the rhyming and detail. I can so relate to the poem. It sounds so much like our school, don't change a thing :)
