I was very excited when I found out we got to perform at the museum again, what made it all the better was finding out that I got extra points for something I had already done. My dance company is always performing for the public because we feel as artist we should share it with our community. We had performed at the museum once before but it was nothing like the Can Can. Our Can Can was taught to us the week before and we had to go through an audition process. It was the first audition process we had gone through in a long time and I was extremely excited to be casted. We learned the dance quickly but it was the most athletic two minutes of my life, I honestly don’t know how show girls can do it. That was the easy part of the whole experience. The worst was when I arrived at the museum the next day and I find out that one of the dancers, who had been working on the dance with us, had been in a car accident the night before and would not be able to perform with us. I’m glad my studio is flexible and use to changes. It we weren’t then we wouldn’t have been able to pull off a great show. We performed twice and we did well. I’m proud of the work we did and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
