Leo went through her day in a daze, while sleep smoothly threatened to cut all her senses from the bizarre world going on in the class rooms. she had stayed up most of the night trying desperately to study and finish her homework. As the alarm clock rang Leo had made sure to wake her little sister, Zaylin,
"Miss Mayerton, earth back you," her English teacher called irritated.
"My apologies, Mrs Blake. I'd been somewhat daydreaming" Leo explained.
"Answer my question. I'm waiting..." Mrs Blake tapped her foot without noticing.
The fact that Leo had not been listening but particularly thinking about life's struggles had now led her to this cornered situation.
"I...I.."She cleared her throat and started again, "I really...didn't..."
"The answer is oxymoron, Mrs Blake" A clear deep voice announced the owner's presence. Shock weaved through the classroom as everyone turned around to confirm the voice's keeper. Even Mrs Blake looked slightly astonished. My eyes scanned the whole back-row and landed on the guy at the corner. He was gorgeous but his sparkling eyes commanded you to look everywhere but at him. His jaw was set stubbornly and his face painted a whole picture of a scorn.
Class had gone on as usual and the English teacher had let Leo off the hook. When the bell rang and signaled the end of the period and squeals escaped eager lips. Turning quickly to find the Knight in shining armor who had rescued her, Leo mouthed a 'Thank You'. She finally saw properly that this was the same guy who had accidentally brushed her arm at the Cafe. He, the guy, simply shrugged.
"Leo, u really should quit your daydreaming in class, Nerds don't daydream." She stated matter-of-factly. Cherry was Leo's best friend and sometimes she really was as blond as her hair.
"Yeah yeah I know but right now. I have to meet Mr Blake at the swimming hall." She explained
"First twas the wife now the husband, geee Leo, good luck" Cherry said as she reminded Leo of Mr and Mrs Blake's marriage
"Young lady, something is wrong and I don't like it at all, its affecting everything," Mr Blake voiced his options, "I expect total control and commitment from you. Now go have your lunch. Tomorrow's rehearsal I'll be keeping an eye on you"
Without saying anything, Leo jogged out the hall's double door.
"Funny how everyone expects you to be top notch, when life is hell" she muttered under her breath.
"Leo." A familiar voice called from behind, but she continued to leap away. She was defiantly running away
