Lucifer

You were not real
You never were

You walked silently

Your touch so gentle

Your angelic appearance

I had created you from the bitter memories of my previous love
Lost in the puddles of my tears you arose to comfort me

But now that I can see, you are not peace like a dove
But ethereal like an angel I can't see

A part of my mind created from my insanity
You slowly destroyed me

The world became blurred, unclear
Which was real and which was fake
A line could not be drawn

From truth and lie
I could not distinguish
But it is time to say goodbye

Free me from these shackles and set me free
Let me return to the girl I used to be

A fabrication of my imagination
You were
The lucifer
