The Leaves in Fall

Just a short little poem I came up with off the top of my head. Its a metaphor between the leaves in fall and a sad one-sided relationship. I don't really write poetry very much, but I hope ya like it

Like the leaves in fall I fell for you
What a mistake that was though

Like the leaves in fall you swept me aside
Leaving me behind like all the others

Like the leaves in fall I disappeared with winter
But I gained something from this one-sided love

Like the leaves in fall you must look through them all
To find the truly beautiful ones
