Isn't it sad that the people who are supposed to love you the most are the first to hurt you? I encourage you to stop the cycle. Be better than your father and his father and the long list of fathers attached to this close minded anger. I had to learn to do this with my mother. And now I strive to be everything that she's not. I believe I am a much better person because of it. My thoughts on it are "If you realize it hurts, and it's such a terrible thing, then why succumb to the same fate? You're better than this". If I can do it, I KNOW you can. (:

I read this twice before I really understood. Eventually the son must stand up to the father. I like the way you developed the poem.
Your thoughts on anger are encased in my story "Anger", which I have not posted yet.
