Tiny Nudge

Tiny Nudge

A Poem by Cassandra
"

A young mother-to-be knows what she has to do in order to give her baby the life she could never provide. This is about a true and undying love; A mother's love.

"

Tiny Nudge

I can feel it,

the tiny nudge from deep within.

You’re safe here little one,

until you’re ready to begin.

I dream of what it will be like,

once you’re here with me.

Right now you don’t seem real,

but soon you will be.

I need you to know that you were wanted,

but I was not prepared.

I’m young, alone and naive,

but mostly I’m scared.

I want you to have everything,

which is what I never had.

So I know what I have to do,

even if it leaves me heartbroken and sad.

Your new family are wonderful,

they’re what I wanted for you.

They already love you so much,

but not nearly as much as I do.

So I hope you’ll be happy,

and think kindly of me.

I’m the one who gave you up,

so you could have a life and a family.

I’m your mother.
