Forest of FireA Poem by HinotoWalking through the forest of fire No worry of being burned A soft cool wind tugs at the fiery canopy Beckoning the colors to fly free
The reds of passion The oranges of courage The yellows of sunlight
Each leaf carefully painted Each one unique and bright They rustle in the wind Before jumping from their foot holds
The wind colored by the leaves A fiery whirlwind Whisk through the sky
The leaves dance in the air Guided by their windy partner It's their final dance A dance of celebration
The leaves grow tired They fall to the ground And become a fiery bedding
Some fall to the fields Which wait to be harvested The orange pumpkins sit in fiery beds Waiting for their faces to be carved
Walking through the forest of fire The cool wind calling to the leaves Beckoning them to dance
Dance the waltz of Fall. © 2016 HinotoReviews
