I want to knowA Poem by PuppygirlA young girl experiences exclusion when no one in her family will tell her about all the tradegy they are experiencing due to her age. She speaks about how she wants to know the truth.
I want to feel, I want to know
Their pain, their woes The tense wind, causes of its forceful blow Casting a dark shadow, creating a tornado I yearn to gain knowledge, to be like a crow Open my eyes, see what the world can throw I prefer to be up high, rather then lay low But instead I stay here, watching the wind that forcefully blows Moving only 10 inches, nowhere to go Like a little tortoise, moving extra slow Humans chatter, talk about what the world throws Crying so hard, tears start to vastly flow I’m a boat on their river, barely beginning to row Chattering humans, I’m on their list to stow My years, protecting me from the wind that forcefully blows When I ask to help, it’s always a no Still Wearing a pink dress, hair tied in a pretty bow I yearn to leave this nasty bungalow To wear plain T shirts, to untie my bow Like a companion, Like a rose I want to love, I want to grow © 2024 PuppygirlAuthor's Note
