Inspiration

Abstract-ish

Inspiration is no darling, sweet thing

but a flicker of the brain short-circuiting

creating insane rhythms, a blind storm

against the soft kisses of the rain

soaking into the pages where

I write nothing, just connecting the dots

wiping away the cold spots until

my hand is a silhouette against all that is wet

and growing, words planted and sewing

rooted from my digging wrist to the raw, earth

filled fist of inspiration
