She Never Stays The Night

She Never Stays The Night

A Poem by Outdated Account

"Curb thy focus"

My lover's kiss,
Her gentle razor lips,
Brush my skin
With pain and bliss.

Here”, a sharp caress
Of rust and red,
Found me abreast
Upon my bed.

Too late to turn away,
There I was asleep,
Yet she did not know to stay.
A loss which I will not weep.

So I awoke alone,
No lover by my side.
Solely my dreaming companion,
Never there to deride

Very nice. Good use of imagery to build emotion and paint a clear picture in one's head.

This is beautiful, I love the mood and imagery, and it leaves me with a lingering sorrow in my breast.
