I'll Call Upon You At Midnight

I'll Call Upon You At Midnight

A Poem by Outdated Account
"

The dark end of one day is the fresh start of another.

"
I'll call upon you at midnight
to finally come ashore.
Leave behind your oblivion
and empty red canister.

You could not read between the lines
but this I shan't forget,
the moments shared in laughter
our beautiful duet.

We traveled through that lifetime
troubled, sad, and strong;
leaning on each other
before we were long gone.

Though you left that page behind you
and that chapter burned 'a crisp,
I still hold my pen
and a memory as a wisp.

So, I'll call upon you at midnight
to walk along the shore.
You may tell me how love died,
and I will give you more.
