The UnGuilty

The UnGuilty

A Poem by Work_in_progress

The blood on their hands
The weight on their soul
The judgement it lands
and takes it's violent tole

We blame the innocent
When they merely falter
keep them in imprisonment
Until their kindness does alter

We blame the kind
Until they become tainted
we do not mind
It's their faces we're painting

Why does this burden
Fall on those who care?
Because the line we blurred in
Makes our world unfair

The guilty will hide
But the innocent guide
If our leaders are tamed
Then they can be blamed
