The Dusclops Entrance

The Dusclops Entrance

A Chapter by Work_in_progress

Footsteps barreled down the dark cave, followed by panting and wheezing. Not far behind was the hollow breathing of some unknown beast that thundered behind. The noises echoed through the walls of the cavern, but the worst part was the fear in the air. Randy had never been chased by a pokemon before, for all the time he had been training and catching, he knew them to be gentle beasts. He had never guessed one might attack him directly. He clutched his fainted charmander to his chest and tried to fight back tears. The rest of his pokeballs dangled from his belt, his other fainted friends inside. The only pokemon that wasn't unconscious was his level 8 Ponyta and it barely obeyed him. There was no way he was fighting the pokemon that followed him down the halls. He was blind, he was helpless and he was alone. At full speed, he darted through the long corridor, his eyes watering and his hands trembling. His foot snagged on a Roggenrola and he tumbled onto the round, his charmander sprawling out in front of him. He sobbed and felt a shadow cast over him, and he saw his charmander's flickering tail blow as a heavy breathe flushed over him, draining the energy from him. In instinct he grabbed his best friends and pulled him close, reluctant to turn around and stare at it once again. Slowly, his head turned and his shoulders swivelled until the light of the tail was showing the one huge eye that stared down at him, furious. It began to creak and groan, and it's mouth began to open. There was nothing inside, no end, just a black hole. It began to suck him in, it had it's own gravity and it dragged his pokeballs off of his belt and into the abyss. He tried to grab one, but it grabbed his hand and it's pull grew stronger. He screamed, but it seemed like the sound was even being carried into the vortex. His charmander began to float out of his grasp and he panicked, letting his grip slide for a moment to grab his pokemon. His entire body was pulled through the mouth and into the endless darkness, the only sight being the fading light of Charmander's tail. Motionless, he felt cold and alone again, he felt to still even though he could tell he was moving faster than any quick attack he had ever seen. He was shaking and his body felt like it was crumbling under the pressure of movement. His mind was racing, he had registered that pokemon in the pokedex as he did with any new pokemon and saw it was a Dusclops and it was known to have a black-hole effect. No one knew where it went, though, and he was about to find out.
