Caution

Caution

A Poem by WordsFromAPen

Caution.

Caution. I'm not alone.
Here in my mind are the sirens,
The ever bellowing warnings,
The beat of a heart so scared.
So scared. Of everything.
What he says, what she says
And what the future holds,
In this ever saddening world.
A world of pain. Deep within.
Drawn from cuts on my arms,
To my clenching abdomen,
Along with my drained face.
Face it. It's fear.
Of an indescribable kind,
Because no eyes are watching,
But they are, so says your mind.
Mind what you say. Then fake it.
Pretend you're not sweating,
Or losing the will to live,
As living with this - is the way to die.
