A Conversation.A Story by Wordless_PrismI wrote this year's ago, and never knew what I was saying, so I took it and made since of it."Wise man by the fire, will you explain to me the things of the world?" The Young One spoke. "As you wish it, may it be so." The Old One replied. "Thoughts." The Young One simply said. The Old One sat back and asked. "Of or pertaining to the mind. Originating in or apprehended by the reason?" "The reason?" The Young One said confused. The Old One gave a small smile. "Yes, the reason why we have thoughts. Are they of the mind, or in relation to it? As incoming from something or someone else. Lastly, these thoughts, are they originating in or apprehended by this "Something" or "The Reason? So in closing, how much of our thoughts are of the mind, and how much is The Reason why?" The Young One thought, then answered. "What if I am not a believer in "The Reason" or in an intelligent design?" "Then it is this Youngling, if there is no Higher Power, then your thoughts are made up of your own heart and in that, your thoughts are truly a beautiful thing. If there is Deity, then your mind is made up of Divinity's divine device and influence, which then makes us partly divine. So, therefore, your thoughts are truly a beautiful thing." "So what must be done?" The Young One said. "Do my thoughts come from me, someone or something, or perhaps they come from this "Reason" and if so how much does the Reason hide from me?" The Old One looked to the side and said. "Well, I don't know. I suppose we'll just have to think about it." © 2021 Wordless_PrismAuthor's Note
