To be thrown in a pit and be swallowed up by it. To hide in fear from the reek, as it squirms and thrashes about, bashing and gnashing its teeth as it rears its blight-filled head and crawls onward. Like a canker to the tree, it spreads its putrefaction, lives by the laws of rot, eats its decay, and spits its putrid smell ostentatiously. However, in this paradigm there is hope, for righteousness hearkens repose no more. For hope will stand atop the hill, and be clothed in power and majesty. He will sing his pipes from one hill to the next and spread his euphoric utopia. He will O’erthrow evils, and bind all together with the sinews of love.
