Childhood Loved, and LostA Poem by TamaraAn idea from the author of "Lollipops turns into Cigarettes..." quote.
When you sit and look back at your life
You think of the good times, the bad But do you ever think of the in-between? The times when innocence that was seemingly so abundant, Got lost somewhere. I have so many questions looking back at it now When did lollipops I used to eat, Become the cigarettes I replaced as a treat As I remember my old friends, I wonder, Why did the innocent, quiet, and shy ones Become the spiteful one I see now I shake my head as I think back to that one saying I used to love so much “I can’t wait to grow up…” But now, I miss those joyous times of good old double-dutch. © 2011 TamaraAuthor's Note
