Absolute Numbness

Absolute Numbness

A Poem by Tamara
"

...

"
As the years have flown by,
I have to sit here an wonder exactly why
Why I feel so empty inside
Why I can no longer feel what I used to
The happiness, the good times
Every smile, every laugh now seems feigned
Forced in every single way
Everyday seems like I’m waking up
Just to put on yet another show, for the world
My actions don’t account for anything
I’m just running around and around, unfeeling, cold
Prematurely dead; life now seems too heavy for my heart to hold.
