A Wonderful Night Turned Horribly WrongA Poem by Elizabeth Reed
A wonderful night turned horribly wrong as I sit up in my bed
Crying and shaking from the thoughts in my head Seeing you made me happy for just a short time Until I remember that you are not mine You don't know how I feel, you can't read my heart You don't know how much I miss you every time we're apart You tell me about her, but I know every word She's my best friend, so from her I have heard I know you're in love and dancing on air But I sit here and weep, I feel it's unfair I knew you first, and I know you more She knows you so little, of that I am sure It took you no time to fall for her deep Does she take up your thoughts in waking and sleep? I'll help you along, I'll be so productive Because more than anything, I'm so self destructive A wonderful night turned horribly wrong as I sit up in my bed You're the one in my thoughts, you fill my head
