Where Oh! Where!A Poem by WordShifterFinding what was lostWhere Oh! Where!
Where is that tarnished knight I know it's somewhere near It stood so proudly on my shelf With all the dust it did not fear. Did I pack it away Thinking it was way to bold Now I want to find it And in my hand do hold Like a needle in a haystack The search is how it seems To find something so special This could mean extremes My treasure chest is very full With jewels and shinny gold Some just worthless junk I just like to hold Dig in and throw out stuff And only keep the best But they hold so many memories That I hold close to my chest. Oh! Here it is so tarnished His heart doesn't look so right Guess I'll get the crazy glue And fix it good and tight. This will take more than glue For the scars are very very deep Lord! I need your help on this Fix his soul, make his spirit leap Let his armor shine again like in days gone bye Thank you, I can see it starting By the twinkle in his eye. Now he's on my shelf again Looking truly at his best A warrior princess sits next to him His head is upon her breast © 2011 WordShifter |
