A Story by Lily
"

A short story for one of my friends who has a weakness for blue eyed blonde boys.

"
A hidden grove, isolated away from the world with only one human
resident. A boy, his blonde hair hanging in his eyes. He lives in solitude,
thrives in loneliness, and cares not for the outside world. One day a girl
enters his hidden thicket and his world changes forever. Her hair is ebony
curls and her skin the color of rich chocolate, her warm brown eyes are
filled with unshed tears. The girl searches for something missing from her life and so she flees deep into the forest. She was surprised to see the boy, his blue eyes boring into hers. He approaches her and she freezes, unsure of how to respond to his presence. His skin is sun kissed golden and his eyes disturb her, as though he knows every thought she had ever had. He moves closer, watching her reaction. He stands just an inch away and the girl's breath is caught in her throat. He leans forward and she meets him
halfway. He touches her reverently, as though she would disappear the
second he no longer respected her. She matches his rhythm, demanding more and more. He gives her everything he is and more. She promises him every flower ever grown and the sweetest fruit known to man. He promises her the sun, the moon and the stars. Rain falls upon the two, but they take no notice. The moon rises and they still take no notice. The sun rises and the girl stands. She moves to the edge of the grove, glancing back at her sleeping love. She disappears between the thick trees, carrying with her
a secret.
The boy mourns his missing love. Why did she leave him? Would she ever
return? He howls in pain of not knowing who she was. He begs the moon to
tell him, but no answer comes. He pleads with the blinding sun, but
silence is his the response. He turns, discouraged and sees movement at the edge of his meadow. The girl steps forward, something different about her. She apologizes to her love, her fear made her flee, but she is not afraid anymore. He stands next to her and places his hand on her slightly swollen abdomen. He kisses her once more, declaring that all is forgiven and that he loves her.

I found this leaving me wanting more...a longer story would answer questions lingering...but to leave the reader wanting more is sometimes a good thing, too.

Thanks for the share
