Superman's Burden

Superman's Burden

A Poem by Wooddawg

The kiss of an angel

The breath of a queen.

The eyes of a temptress

The longing of a drug fiend.

A whisper from the heaven's

The intoxication of a glass of wine.

The warmth of a candle's flame

A taste of the divine.

The soothingness of a mother's touch

The beauty of serenity's dance.

The hell I feel within

From fucked up circumstance.

Yet I shield her eyes

From what I really feel.

Carry on, make others smile

But my own, no longer real.

"From Fucked up circumstance."
Fucked doesn't need to be capitalized.

"Yet I sheild her eyes"
It should be shield :) A minor typo is all.

This was one nice prose to read. The mood is solemn with bits of sorrow + anger at oneself mixed together. Somehow, while I don't think it's what you intended for, the prose almost seems a bit nostalgic.
