Clown

Clown

A Poem by Wooddawg

I lay in pieces

scattered on the floor again.

The morning greets me

everything's far from zen.

It feels so hopeless

damned if I don't or do.

Judged for my feelings

just no pleasing you.

A riot of the senses

f*****g anxiety.

Blindfold the monsters

there goes sobriety.

Tip a few back

raise my self-esteem.

Paint on a smile

and walk the balance beam.

Only for so long

this light I can bend.

Silently suffer

I pray for my own end.

Your poem impresses me in way I felt I could relate to this. The poem speaks the words what I say in my mind. A person can only know if they understand. You ahve an amazing style and it reminds me of my own
