You can agree or disagree, but this was how I felt during my days of depression. I've gotten better, but I felt like people should understand what it's like.

You hit the nail on the head. This is what depression is. Depression is a fact of my life I have learned to hide some times eve. From my self my mask is not simple though its has grown to a new glass face. But on good blow it is gone yours truely a mad lord
Iv been having depression lately, I guess everyone feels differently, although I could relate to some of it.
Like this part:
But it’s more than that, it’s like being alive,
Without any motivation to strive.
It’s fighting not to cry,
To keep your tear ducts dry.
This part I find very true.
Anyway this poem is great im sure allot more people can relate to this to.
Its also very deep, meaningful and real.
Im so glad your getting better now though, good for you :)
Loved this piece :)

Yeah, everybody is different. I didn't expect everybody to relate completely to this.

Yeah, so far a lot of people can relate to this.
Thanks for your input. :)
I really love this Silent Wolf, I thought it was vague enough for a clueless reader to find it attractive, but descriptive enough for another going through the same things to understand exactly what you were talking about. There's somewhat of a beautiful simplicity placated into this poem.

I enjoyed the read. You really hit what depression is like. I can relate to it. I still feel depressed a lot, but when I talk to someone to my friends they really do help me. It hurts to feel like I can't always go to someone. My smiles lately seem real, but I know they aren't. Sometimes I just wish it was easier to go through, but you always have to remember you are never alone. Thank you for sharing. :)
Silent Wolf, this takes great courage to share such an experience, written with such honesty and true emotion. I can relate and empathize, and you are spot on with what one faces on a daily basis. Stay strong my friend, fighting through the darkness, one moment at a time, knowing you have friends who care and love you whenever you need them.

THATS when things like self harm came into play. But, it was a poem for a project at school, so I can't really say that was when its time to cut... I have been getting help and getting better, so that's good, but I still know how it feels to go through this.
It's all those things indeed, and more.
It's not always as obvious to spot as people think.
Brave writing.

Silent Wolf, I'm glad you are not silent, you have just written the story of my life, I connect to this poem so much.Take it from someone who can relate and empathize, please, stay strong and keep
fighting on, because, one day somethings gotta give, for you see, happiness and I always play
a certain game, a game called hide and seek, happiness is always hiding and I'm always seeking it,
but one day, one day God willing, I'll find it. Amen.
Great Write'
Keep Writing, you've got talent!
