Maze of destruction

Idk when this one was, but it's burned into my memory.

I stand at the beginning of a large hedge maze, and somehow I know exactly what to do. Somewhere there is a Prince Charming awaiting my rescue, but like a video game, there is guards and traps everywhere, and one wrong move could send me to my death. If I am caught by the guards, they can quickly and easily kill me, and if I fall into the trap, there is no way out.
I take off at a sprint, excited to meet my Prince Charming, rounding a corner sharply to come upon a group of guards. I quickly turn back around, barely avoiding their weapons, and come upon my first trap. The floor gives way underneath me and I fall onto a large yellow sponge in a pit full of acid. Slowly the sponge disintegrates, and eventually I come to my death.
I respawn at the same place with everything reset. I go a different direction and fall into another trap, a pit full of spikes. *this is gonna be harder than I thought* I think as I respawn once again.

Btw, I never got to see the Prince Charming, I just fell into a bunch of traps... Lol.

I really like your descriptive words again here and just how it's really to the point and concise; I don't like when people fluff their writing up a lot; it detracts from the story. So job well done, my friend :)
