Rat

Rat

A Poem by Wolfy
"

Ramblings from the squat

"
It scuttles and scratches
Makes posh girls scream
But hes alright
Is ratter
If you let him be

There's some unwritten rules
About his stay in my patch
That hes always pleasant
And never attacks
I feed him tit bits
Or the ends of my bread
Just to watch him drag it
Across the foot of the bed

I suppose in a way
Me and this rat
Our position's the same
Atleast similar in that
Both illegally living
In unwanted space
But bothering no one
And upsetting no pace
What right have I
To tell him to leave?
I pay no rent
I live here for free
UnhygienicI hear the masses cry
My answer is plain
So are you
So am I
