Legacy of a Star

Legacy of a Star

A Poem by Wolfwind

Photobucket

Coalescing gasses

entwined with time

gravity pulls strong.

Compressing tightly

becoming a songs

spark, a star is born.

Time continues with

billions of rotations

utilizing fuels to its end.

Expansive growth outward

with a sudden collapse,

remainders rebounding out.

Colorful remnants drift far

through heavens depths

A supernova’s legacy.

I really love the part about becoming a songs spark.. a star is born.. I guess it for me makes me think that yes even though this happens every day.. each moment entwined, gravity, rotations and sudden collapse creates in us something new.. Creates us as new....unique. I personally know my own gases universally rock though so.. just sayin ;) I liked looking at this photo today.. Birth death renewal.. hmmm..xo

Welcome :)
This is cool poem. I would recommend including a sort of message or idea in each poem. But still, nice work!!

This can be taken as just what you're discribing... a star legacy...or the life of one person. The way they are influenced by those around them (gravity pulling) by the wrongs and rights of their choices (gasses entwind) by the very longevity of a life. How we use up our energies and push our bodies to the maximum it can at times...but when it decides it's done.. one part at a time begins to collapse. What can be left are the parts of us we've shared with others and the memories we made throughout our life. Emparted wisdoms, children to love, making a difference in one life add to another and we continue to drift along with those pieces ...our legacy :) I love to gaze at them when they are their brightest and wonder just how far away that light traveled to reach my part of the sky...according to your poem..it would seem a long time..lol :)
